Hi, Timo. I do understand that the re-construction of the new House of Nuke site is taking a bit of time . . . after all, we all have our day jobs. That's why I am going with a tool that allows me to finish the job quickly and come back to play later when I have the time.

Why is the HouseMenuSkinObject.ascx.vb file missing? Is it intentional?

I was reluctant to use the version 1.04 Beta, but it is the only version available on the download site. Where can I go to get the version 1.03?

Thanks,

jc

JC, to make things clear I'm in no way connected to the creator of housemenu...(JFTR)
I have no idea why the file is missing, I never experienced any problems installing the Housemenu skinobject.
You can get my emailadress (look for "yahoo")  from my profile and I can see what I can do for version 1.3

Hello, Timo! Oh, yes, I was aware that the Tim Rolands is administering the House of Nuke web site (the same first name . . . well, sort of   ;)   ).  From a recent post, it sounded like he was transferring the site to a new owner (his new employer, he wrote.)  Along the way, he encountered some techincal issues. That is why I am not pursuing the use of HouseMenu for now as I have a deadline on my company project.

I was simply throwing out my questions for anyone reading the post . . . may be they know the answers . . . and may be Tim Rolands happens to be around   ;)

Thanks for your offer for version 1.3.   I will contact you later on, after I complete my currently pressing project.

Thanks again! And best regards,

jc

You need to have:

<dnn:HOUSEMENU runat="server" id="dnnMENU" Scope="-1" ShowHome="True" ShowParent="True" ShowHidden="False" ShowAdmin="True" ShowSearchResults="False" ShowPageIcons="True" HidePageNames="False" IsRecursive="True" Orientation="H" Mode="D" />

with the settings you desire.  You also need (at the top of the page):

<%

@ Register Src="~/DesktopModules/HouseMenuSkinObject/HouseMenuSkinObject.ascx" TagName="HOUSEMENU" TagPrefix="dnn" %>

if you are using an .ascx file instead of an .htm file.

I have done these things.  However, I am getting the menu bar repeating for each menu item.  Can someone tell me what I need to do next?

Dewey
