I installed DNN 4.4.1 with the starter kit but when I created a new child portal and tried to apply the supplied DNN Blue - Vertical Menu skin I get the following error, which then occurs every time I try to enter the child portal. Any ideas as to what is going here on gratefully received.

It's a known issue - the starter kit is missing some DLLs, I don't know if it is possible to update the package files available for download once these issues arise, but it would have been helpful to many.

You need the DotNetNuke.DNNTreeNavigationProvider.dll - get it from the source package.

There are some other missing DLLs, here is a full list:

DotNetNuke.ASP2MenuNavigationProvider.dll
DotNetNuke.Caching.BroadcastPollingCachingProvider.dll
DotNetNuke.Caching.BroadcastPollingCachingProvider.SQLDataProvider.dll
DotNetNuke.DNNDropDownNavigationProvider.dll
DotNetNuke.DNNMenuNavigationProvider.dll
DotNetNuke.DNNTreeNavigationProvider.dll

Many thanks for your help Isomies, this did the trick.

Not anything to do with you but is there an issue with the DNN site? - I could find no reference to this at all on the site. The searches (both the general and forums) either seem to return no results or timeout/crash.

Once again thanks for your help.

Nick

If it's a known issue, why not try to FIX THE SOFTWARE before other people download it?

Perhaps you don't understand how software release cycles work Mats?
