I am doing a new website skin and quickly coming to the conclusion that it is a difficult skin or I am too thick. This is what I have done.

1. I have done an exact representation of the site in fireworks.
2. I have sliced the image up into  cells representing the skin objects.
3. I have exported it into html (toughskin.html) then brought it into Dreamweaver.
4. I have replaced the picture skin objects with DNN objects.
5. I have saved as toughskin.ascx

However, the header contains two pictures that I don't know what to do with and if I load the skin, they don't show.
A. How do I reference these headers and other graphics so that they show after loading ? Absolute path ?
B. What addition do I need to make to toughskin.ascx to prevent errors when loading ?
C. The top of the (html) website skin contains 10 cells (graphics, text and DNN skinobjects).Do I need to define each of these cells in the CSS and how ?
D.Is an XML file needed  for upload, and what should it contain (I have saved file to toughskin.ascx)

Any kind advice will be appreciated. I have read books, guide and manuals to no avail.

Hi Electric Monkey,

To make your images available in your skin, simply put <%= SkinPath %> in front of the image for example.

<table style="width:775;height:200;background-image:url(<%= SkinPath %>header.jpeg)">

Then place the image in the zip skin or container file, and add it to your Dotnetnuke site.

Thnks. I've asked some pretty silly questions I realise; but when I am  confused  I suffer memory gridlock, and can't even remember my name sometimes !!

Still not getting this right. What will for example  be the correct  reference string for an image presently with following details in my development:

<td colspan="7"><img name="xyz" src="folder/subfolder/xyz.jpg" width="711" height="107" border="0" id="xyz" alt="" /></td>

I have put it in Portals/0/xyz.jpg
