It seems that if use a XHTML doc type or even a 4.1 that is formatted to not through Firefox into Quirks Mode, IE will center the admin controns (settings, etc) windows and everything in them.  Anyone know of a doctype that will work with Firefox (does not put it in quirks mode) that works with IE at the same time and does not screw up the admin modules?

Anyone?

Does everyone just build for Quirks mode or use CSS to override the settings class to left align the text?

I use CSS to left align when needed.

Well, for those that have found this thread looking for an answer, it seems on IE this occurs on all standards compliant doctypes.  The solution I came up with that did not "appear" to have any side effects is to set the text alignment default to left for tables.  So far so good.  I posted a tip about it, http://hintsandtips.com/ShowPost/472/hat.aspx so hopefully nothing will be found to have issues with it
