Hi,

I have made a skin which has a fixed logo and I use an to go back to the root of the site but how do I actually do that?

I have tried "/Default.aspx" but that endsup in the root of the website but not the root of the virtualdirectory.

Using "./Default.aspx" endsup in the tab itself.

What do I need to get to get to the root of the virtual directory and not have a fixed name for that?

Not sure I understand what you want to do, but here's a trick I learned from John Mitchell that might get you there:

To create a link to a named page in a skin, use this code: Home changing the tabname and link text as needed. DNN will find and navigate to the page when clicked.

That is indeed a cool trick but since I want this fixed in the skin I can't use it I think because then I would have to know what my root pages name is. That would mean if that ever changes it won't work anymore and I have to change the skin again.

How does the dnnLOGO (Logo.ascx) know what the first page is for your portal. How can I get to that information because then I would get the behavior of the dnnLOGO.

It's in \Admin\Skins\Logo.ascx.vb and the line goes like this: hypLogo.NavigateUrl = GetPortalDomainName(PortalSettings.PortalAlias.HTTPAlias, Request)
