Stupid newbie question:

How do I add a link to the "home" page in a skin?  I am designing skins using html documents with xml settings documents.  What should the url be if I want to place a link that goes to the "home" page for the skin? Will this work:

<a href=".">Go HOME</a>

Yes...you can hardcode links into your skin this way.  Just browse to your home page and copy the url and place it in your a href=" " tag.

Hi, thanks for your answer... but it doesn't answer my question... I should have been more clear:

I want to add a relative link that will resolve to the portal's home page for any page that uses the skin.  Is there any code similar to the skinpath tag ( <% skinpath %> )that would allow me to do this?

What href should I use so that a user clicking a link will be taken to the portal's default page? <a href="WHAT PATH DO I PUT HERE">link text</a>

TIA for any more answers.

 When I put hard coded links into skins I just put in the tabID url.

link text  so if you test it here - it should theoritically take you to the home page of DotNetNuke.

Thanks Nina,

The source view of this page reveals the address in the link you set up as this:

href="Home/tabid/510/Default.aspx
Would that path work with any site which uses the skin I am developing? What if there was no "Home" tab? Is there a way to use the "~/" path addressing that is part of ASP.NET 2?
