Sorry, I forgot about the "SEARCH" link.

If you want to make color changes to the word "search", here's what I would do:

I specify a class for the pane where I place the "search" token, and style the links for it.

For example, my class for the "search" token from the skin is "searchCell", I'd style it as:

a.searchCell:link {color: #yourcolor;}

want a different color for the hover state?

a.searchCell:hover {color: #yourcolor;}
