Hello, I've read through some articles in which the authors indicate that it's possible to configure a class for the right/left separators (both idle and active) by inputting this code within the Solpart skin object : leftseparatorcssclass="..." ; leftseparatoractivecssclass="....". However, this doesn't seem to work. So my question is...is configuring the css class for separators possible? If it is, what should I add inside skin.ascx?

Best regards,

Duc

P.S : I believe it IS possible because the official DNN navigation documentation also refers to this function.

This is a little tricky and it took more than once-over for me to comprehend, I'll try and describe it plainly.

If you have used the leftseparatorcssclass="myLeftClass" code and it didn't work, it's most likely because you didn't use an actual separator! Try adding this bit to the .ascx code, along with what you already have: separator=" "

The gives content (a non-reaking space) to be styled by those separator classes.

Thanks for replying.

If I'm not mistaken, this is supposed to work, isn't it?

<dnn:SOLPARTMENU runat="server" id="dnnSOLPARTMENU" leftseparator=" " leftseparatorcssclass="..." leftseparatoractivecssclass="..." (and more configuration) />

P.S : are there any css styles for breadcrumb separators? I want them to remain active when the child items are selected.

All of the information you are looking for is in the DNN Skinning guide. In the Appendix section there is detailed information regarding the separators and the breadcrumbs.
