I am trying desperately to use the CssClass= function of the search control.  I want an image for the submit and I want the search box to have a 1px white boarder with the background of the search being black.  I want white font 9px arial in the box.

I can do this all day long on a basic text box can someone tell me what I am doing wrong here?

A Sample config woudl be very helpful...

Thanks

I am not sure about the image instead of the search text but its quite easy to customise the look and feel using CSS

Admin/skins/search.aspx and change the css on the textbox.  But it will not be update proof.  Next update will over write it

Hop that helps

Hi there,

Put this in your skin.xml file and change the name of the submit button you want to replace:

<Object>
    <Token>[SEARCH]</Token>
        <Settings>
            <Setting>
                <Name>Submit</Name>
                    <Value>&lt;img src=&quot;submit.gif&quot; border=&quot;0&quot;&gt;</Value>
            </Setting>
        </Settings>
</Object>

Also try this class for your text input text and, border of the search box:

#dnn_dnnSEARCH_txtSearch.NormalTextBox

 Hope this helps!
