Ok here is the story

I have created a skin that I am trying to install when I install this Package on my Server It runs thought the install but you can not use the skin in the dropdown on the skins page there is the new skin but when you select the skin it say that the skin file does not exist. So you can you assign a the skin to the host or a portal. Also the install event does everything correctly creating files and all of the that process it goes thought but the skin is just not availible.

Sounds like you zipped the install files with theRe: Creating a Skin in the New Version

Sounds like you Zipped the files with XP's Send To -> Compressed Folder option. This will add an extra folder level and your skin won't work. Use a different zipping tool, such as WinZip.

Well you were right about the XP Zip util but i have zip with with winzip and still the same problem

Please check your web site file directory, ensure your skin files are in right place. If you upload it as host level ,it should under Portals\_default\Skins\YourSkinName.If you unload it as site, it shoule under Portals\YourPortalId\Skins\YourSkinName
