Ok this was driving me nuts!

I was modifing the Dnn Blue skin and started getting duplicate CURRENTDATE errors. I tracked it down to being the line of code I commented out. Dnn still sees the TOKENS for skinning even if they are commented out!

This isn't a shortcoming of DNN.

ASP.net processes all of the page, even the bits in html comments. 

If you are working in ASCX pages change the runat="server" on the item that is commented out to be runatxxx="server" so the item isn't run.

This was not the .ascx file but the .htm file. So when Dnn converted it the commented TOKENS where still read

Then that's an error in DNN's parsing.  Might want to report it.
