I am having a strange problem. it seems like the last few releases brought some skin changes which are causing me problems and which I cannot figure out. When I create a skin now, the tables containing the content areas and footer seem to move out of place and float up and down.

When I have content and modules in the panes, it seems to pull everything back together, but when empty, there are huge gaps between the footer table and content panes and whatever table I have in the top for a header and menu.  You can see an example of this at http://www.harrymckneely.com/default.aspx   pages with some content have less gaps. I just can't figure out what the problem is. This has only become a problem in the last several weeks months. I notice if I don't put the menu in a nested table with the other header stuff, it will float down too. I am nesting tables to death over this issue.

I also noticed that the new rounded corners on the bottom don't work all that well when you add a color to the tables or cells that are on the very bottom. It is like square corners overlap the round ones and it looks funny. As long as you leave them white, no problem. Create an image of color footer table and you get this issue.

Right now, I have gotten the top tables to stay at the top but the footer table is waayyyy down below that creating gaps somehow. It is like my design isn't hanging together. If anyone can help me fix this problem, I would appreciate it.

You may have problem with the table structure holding your content panes. If you have visibility set to false then adjacent cell will expand to replace. See how default skin is put together.
