I have a rather interesting effect going on in DNN 4.x

I'm trying to apply a specific skin style to my Admin pages and a specific style to my portal pages.
The trouble is when i select the check box for applying a certain skin only to the "ADMIN" it still applies the skin i've selected as the Admin to the entire portal.

Or vice versa when i try to Apply a certain skin to only the "PORTAL" and deselect the "Admin" check box, then my designated portal skin is applied to the entire site including the Admin pages.

How do i fix this? or what am i over looking? Or is there a suggested work around?

Basically all i'm trying to accomplish is i want to apply a different skin to the Admin Pages. Please Advise

Hope i have i not confused anyone? Has anyone else run into this issue of trying to apply a specific skin to only the Admin portion of DNN and a Specific Skin to only the Portal portion?

I know that in the old 2.x versions you could do this rather successfully.

I'm just trying to find out if i'm missing a step or two.

I guess you tried that on the Admin/Skins page. I just tested that, and there really is a bug: regardless of what option you check in the "Apply To: Portal / Admin" checkboxes, the new skin will always be applied to both portal and admin pages. I remember having had this issue earlier myself, and since then, I use the Admin/Site Settings page to change the skin. In the Appearance section of that page, there are four select boxes for setting the Admin/Portal skin/container, and these work.
