Hi,

Can anyone help me please?

I am having a problem getting a table to line up vertically in the correct place in my skin.

On this site, http://www.ibbdhosting.co.uk/wlb/, the white menu and the search box on the left hand side *should* be vertically top aligned and stay under the solpartmenu on all pages. I am finding that it changes it's vertical position in relation to solparmenu on every page.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong please and what I can do to fix it?

Many thanks

Trevor

It sounds as you dont have valign on each Pane set to TOP.

Just check the skins and the cell that you have your left menu you should have <td valign="top".....

Hi Salar,

Thanks for the reply. I have checked the skin and those tags are already there.

It actually now looks like the table is aligning top as instructed but the table that has the solpartmenu in it is the offender. It looks like the table is so big it's pushing the menu right down.

Can you see a way around this perhaps?

A good page to see this on is http://www.ibbdhosting.co.uk/BethywbrnbspnbspCydbwyseddbrnbspnbspBywydaGwaith/tabid/164/Default.aspx

Any ideas?

Thanks

Trev

Perhaps if you post the html then so may be We see the issue better. I assume you want to reduce the gap between "Cwestiynau a ofynnir amlaf" and the menu items above search?

Hi Salar,

Yes, that is indeed the gap I am trying to reduce.

The html in the skin is as follows:

<%@ Control language="vb" CodeBehind="~/admin/Skins/skin.vb" AutoEventWireup="false" Explicit="True" Inherits="DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Skin" %>
<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="LOGIN" Src="~/Admin/Skins/Login.ascx" %>
<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="SOLPARTMENU" Src="~/Admin/Skins/SolPartMenu.ascx" %>
<TABLE align="center" WIDTH=761 height="100%" BORDER=0 CELLPADDING=0 CELLSPACING=0>
 <TR>
  <TD background="<%= SkinPath %>Header.jpg" width=608 height=90 COLSPAN=2 align="right" valign="bottom"><dnn:LOGIN runat="server" id="dnnLOGIN" CssClass="LoginLogout"/></TD>
  <TD background="<%= SkinPath %>Login.jpg" width=153 height=90 align="middle" valign="bottom"></TD>
 </TR>
 <TR>
   <td colspan=3 rowspan=2 width=761 height="100%" align="left" valign="top" class="Panes">
     <table border=0 cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0 width=761 height="100%">
       <tr>
  <TD width=150 height=100% align="left" valign="top" style="padding-top: 10px"><dnn:SOLPARTMENU runat="server" id="dnnSOLPARTMENU" Display="vertical" separator='<img src="spacer.gif" width=1 border=0>' usearrows="false" userootbreadcrumbarrow="false" separatorcssclass="MenuSep" rootmenuitemactivecssclass="ParentSel" rootmenuitemselectedcssclass="ParentHover" rootmenuitemcssclass="ParentItem" /></TD>
  <TD id="ContentPane" runat="server" visible="true" width="100%" height="500" align="left" valign="top" class="ContentPane" rowspan=2><img src="~/images/spacer.gif" width="100%" height=1 border=0></TD>
  </tr>
       <tr>
         <td id="LeftPane" runat="server" visible="true" width=150 height="500" align="left" valign="top" class="LeftPane"></td>
     </table>
   </td>
 </TR>
</TABLE>

Thanks
