I want to have a menu that would use picture background, I know that's not a problem, so I wanted the picture to change when rolled over, that's not a problem either, but then I wanted each item on menu to have it's own bg picture and roll over picture... I also want this rolled over picture to stay when on selected menu items page... I am not sure how to do that since I am not good with css at all and I think that's where this is all to be controlled from... if you know how to do this please let me know how to set my css file correctly PLEEEEASE :)

Hi

this is something we did for a customer last year. It s better if you have one skin type per tab. That way you dont have the overhead of the large DNN menu and your page will be a lot faster

Wow! I am honored to have you reply to my post!!! I adore your work

what you gave as a link is almost what I want to have  but also I need image to change on rollover and stay changed when the person is on that selected page.

But honestly even with this page I don't understand how it's done, the menu is it 1 picture bg and then you spaced menu items to fit into each color part of the picture bg? or each menu item has a separate bg? please exptain to me as to an idiot  that I am :)

( today I have toubles reading this forum.... it is not woring right at my end and gives a lot of errors )

Many thanks Julia

You could use one long background and ensure that your menu items are spaced in such a way that fits the, but maintanance is not so easy. but  proper JS driven image menu is also possible in DNN. like this  http://art.salaro.com/Default.aspx?alias=art.salaro.com/johnsonimaging where the bottom tabs at the moment goes to their own none dnn site. but it could have easily been going to inner pages

well if you say JS menu  it is not solpart then... so there is no way of setting up your css file that each manu item has it's own picture ( I figured the first site you showed to me was using 1 long bg image and menu items were evenly spaced out by css file to fit the desired cell of picture )

I guess I will just have roll over images like here on dnn, and then additional menu underneath it... don't know how it will look but hope it wont be too bad :)
