On a couple of my pages I want there to be no content pane. I want the left and right columns to each occupy 50% of the width. I know what to change in skin.css but not sure how to tell those few pages to use that css.

Create a new skin with the two-column design.  Make sure you have at least one pane as ContentPane, otherwise you'll lose your modules when you swap skins.  An alternative is simply to not put any content in that pane and then it closes down.

Thanks Jeff. I noticed that the left and right columns are fixed width in the css (175px). So even if I don't put content in the content pane they don't get wider (as I had hoped). I guess I'll have to go the skin route - I was just hoping there was something simpler.

Thanks.

Wow. I just noticed that creating a new skin is a piece of cake. I just copied one of the default skin folders and then changed the css file and removed the contentpane from the "Horizontal Menu - Fixed Width.ascx" file and voila - it looks wonderful.

Thanks for your help! DNN rocks.

Like Jeff said - You have to have one pane called ContentPane, so it is advisable to make one of the columns (or another pane) the ContentPane again.
