My apologies if this has been asked; I browsed through 20 pages before I decided to just ask.

I have purchased, downloaded and installed a skin from a commercial web site. I like it and it's working fine.  It came with 2 different skins that you can assign to a page.  I would like to create several more within this skin.  Basically, I want to have everything exactly the same on each page except for one photo.  In the skin, that photo would appear the same on every page (b/c the photo is built into the skin).  So what I am thinking I'll do is make several more html pages just like the main skin page, put in my different photo, and then assign those skin pages to the appropriate content page.

However, of course, it's not that simple.  I went into my skin files and created additional skin1.html, skin2.html, etc. files.  Then I rezipped the whole thing and tried reinstalling the whole skin.  These aren't appearing.

Is there a way to do this?  If not, is there a better way to have my different photos appear on each page to differentiate one from the other?

Again, sorry if this has already been answered.  Point me in the right direction if it has!

Thanks.

If your skin came as html files then what you've done would normally work. I can't really say why it hasn't. Check that the skin folder contains files with the same names but .ASCX instead of .HTML extensions. Those are generated on upload.

Even so, there are better ways to achieve what you want. It depends on how the photo is placed on the page. You could either create a content pane in the desired location and then you would be able to place a different image on each page using a text module. Or, you may be able to change the image using css per page. For example if it's a background in a table, you would be able to use css to change it. There's a free module called CSS Include here: http://www.dnnstuff.com/Default.aspx?tabid=210  Or you could probably embed a style into the page usingt a text module or in a module header or just about anywhere really.

Cool--thanks very much.  I'll check this out and keep playing with it--I think the .aspx thing might be the ticket.  Thanks for the quick reply!
