Hi,

I am developing an intranet site, and I know what all my modules are going to be and the site layout. However, my supervisors have not yet chosen a look/skin.

Therefore I was thinking about just developing using the default skin in DNN. Then when a skin is decided on, downloading it (maybe buying) and then installing it.

Question: if the page i have developed has 6 modules and specifically arrange layout, but the skin I have chosen only shows 4 pans to put the modules, what happens when I install the skin?

Basically, I have no idea what to expect when I import and install the new skin into a portal site.

I don't want to do all the work of setting up my modules, panels, and layout and then the new skin that is imported can't be somehow made to accomodate my layout.

thanks

Chris

You will find that some custom skins may have up to 12 panes. they may call their content panes different names to what you have in the default skins. So when you eventually apply the final skin, you may have the move the modules around in each page. But that is easy and would not take you too long. You do need to visit each page and make sure that all is ok anyway.
