Hi, friends,

I have a beginner question:

1.When I apply diffrent skins, I notice that the panes in the page are changed. Diffrent skin has diffrent panes, from position to size. I want to know, If I need to add a pane into a page, for example, add another  toppane, or I want to change the size of an exist pane on a page, need I modify the skin files, or just do it though the dnn console?

2.A skin has a set of pane position and size. If i set a skin to my size, every page looks to has the same pane position and size. But I need to make some pages has it's own pane position and size. I can't use diffrent skin for diffrent page, because I want to keep a same style in all pages. I can see many site like this, for example, when you enter the current Add/edit post page of www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forumns , you will see the right pane is gone. You could see the homepage of www.dotnetnuke.com, there is a right-site pane for ADs there.

Thanks!

yours, Ivan

1 .You would have to change the skin (mostly the CSS or the HTML)

2. Two skins can also have the same style but only differ in pane width, so that shouldn't be a problem

Download the skinning documentation, it's in the DotNetNuke 4.8.0 Docs on the download page
