Hello everyone,

i am trying to skin the Forum Module using one of my own skins.

I have succesfully uploaded the skin and applied it to my pages and displays fine.

When i drop a Forum Module on the page, it is displayed correctly according to my skin until i click on a link within the forum (i.e Search or Settings).

In that case, my skin does not display, and the DNN-Blue skin is applied to the page.

Any ideas on this?

I have also noticed that when this happens, the module ID (in this case the Forum Module ID) is added to the URL as a parameter.

Any suggestions???

Thanks!

M. Mourouti

You will notice that your query string includes a ctl element in it when you are clicking those links.  This dynamically loads one of the module's controls.  In this case, it uses the "Admin Skin," instead of the Portal Skin.  You need to assign your skin to both the admin and portal if you use any module that use dynamic control loading from the querystring (such as the forum module).

Hope it helps,

Hello again,

thank you for your reply, it has been really helpful.

Assigning the skin to the "Admin Skin" solved the issue.

Thanks!
