I have been reading about different menus for days trying to see which menu offers the most features and is good at being SEO friendly and allowing deep crawls within your site.  We have used the solpart menu up until now.  Which menus have you had best results with?  What can be done to the solpart menu (settings, etc) to make it SEO optimal?  I saw this thread on the asp.net forums that made me start questioning if the sites I made were getting crawled deeply http://forums.asp.net/1013338/ShowPost.aspx   Does anyone know of a way to test if solpart is making a list of links for crawlers?

Hello,

That's an interesting post. Using the default settings for the Solpart menu my sites have been crawled deeply because I have inlcuded the LINKS token at the bottom of my skins, so the search engines can find their way through the site without using the Solpart menu.

Another menu I have recently used is the House of Nuke menu which produces a CSS based menu, therefore all of the links are readable by all search engines without having to make any changes to the web.config file.

You can see an example of a pure CSS skin with the house of nuke menu here: CSS DotNetNuke skin

If you want to see which pages google has indexed, just go to Google and type in the full url for your website into the search box eg. http://www.dnncreative.com, Google will then give you a few different options for viewing the search stats for your site - including find pages from the website.

Hope this helps,
