I hope someone has an idea why this isn't working for me.

I have an image that is the middle part of my page and it's only 4px tall by 800 px wide. My table is 3 cells: header, middle, and footer. If I put the middle image into the cell, it displays fine. But, I want the image to automatically tile vertically in the background so that as the content grows and shrinks the background will too.

I've tried setting it up as a background image inside the cell with background-repeat: repeat-y and I think that should work. I've tried and tried to get this to work and searched the internet to see if I can tell why the image won't show up in the background. I have IE7.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks for the reply. As I was fiddling with the code to paste it here I somehow got the background repeat to start working.
