Hi,

I want to ensure no matter what the size of the GIF/JPG selected as the Portal Logo it will not overflow a maximum area set aside for it in the shin.  I've tried the max-width property, no joy there.  I'm new to css and could be missing the obvious.

Thanks,

Mike

Max-width won't work in IE6 unless its a <td> tag, has zero support in IE5 and should be ok in IE7 and all other standard browsers. Are you building a table based skin or a pure CSS skin?

put a div around the logo with a class="mylogo"

<div class="mylogo">
[LOGO]
</div>

add this css:

.mylogo {
width:200px;
height:100px;
overflow:hidden;
}

You suggestion should only result in the image being 'cropped'.
Is there a way to cause a logo which is larger than the desired area to be automatically resized (stretched / squished) to fit within that area (without using javascript)?
