I have a hosted installation of version 4.03.05. I am trying to get my first portal up and running, and the last big hurdle I have with the skinning is stumping me. When I am logged in as an user with edit priveleges, and I click on a text/html content area, the content area flips into edit mode. This is acting as expected in IE 6, but not in Firefox. In IE, the background color for the content area (in edit mode) is white. But in Firefox, the background for the content block (in edit mode) is an image file, which is wrong. I tried a lot of different things to get this image set up as the BODY background in my skin, which I was eventually successful at. But in that process I may have inadvertently caused this problem. I've looked through my CSS file, and commented out all instances of this background image, but still having the problem. I don't have any containers in my skin, I'm using the DNN-Blue containers.

What I need to know is this: what css style controls the background of the text/html content block when it is in edit mode?

Anyone? Thanks in advance!

Beren

Any chance you can upgrade? 4.3.5 is a rather old version and there have been a lot of enhancements to DNN and the Text/HTML module since then

It's possible, but I don't know how to go about doing it since GoDaddy is hosting it. If it's a matter of copying files to the server and running some update scripts on the SQL server, no problem.

I'll look into upgrade instructions and get back to you guys after.

The editor is inside an iFrame which inherits the background-image (the body tag in the iFrame)

If you set the background-image with CSS like this:

#body{

background-image:url(myimage.gif)

}

It should be solved, since only the main body tag has an id : body.

If this doesn't help, please post a link... (don't need to login)
