Hi Friends,

         I would like you to ask that " IS THEIR ANY  WAY by which  we can hide the parent URL path in browser while opening CHILD URL".

here  http://192.168.1.46/latestdemodnn/precatalook   is my  child portal.but when I am opening my child portal I am geeting this whole thing in broswer address.

 http://192.168.1.46/LatestDemoDNN/Default.aspx?alias=192.168.1.46/latestdemodnn/precatalook

The way I worked around this was to define in the redirect script in the child folder the homepage for th child so mysite.com/childportal now redirects to mysite.com/childportal/home.apsx
Its not exactly flexible but it worked for our purposes.
Out of interest does anyone know what movement this has made in the friendly url provider? As in the fully resolving and re-wrting the URL.

                                                     Actually ,I could not get your solution logic.Where can we find " redirect script in the child folder " ?

Hi Friends,

when we open a child portal in dotnetnuke ,the browser url shows something like this.

"http://192.168.1.46/ParentPortal/Default.aspx?alias=192.168.1.46/Parentportal/ChildPortal"

Can we have any type on control on this?I mean to say that can we only show "192.168.1.46/Parentportal/ChildPortal" for the first time also?

Some one had mentioned of solution using  Redirect Script.But I could get how to proceed in that direction.

Any kind of suggestion is most welcomed.
