Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but it seemed to be the most appropriate of the choices...

We have a DNN-based application that was built for us by a third party, and they've done something interesting with the menus that I'm trying to figure out. If you click on any of the top-level menu items in the navigation, the menu bar gets focus and none of the drop-down menus work until you click in the body of the page and clear the focus. We noticed this right after I re-skinned the site from the default DNN-Blue skin, but it doesn't seem to be related to my reskinning job (I didn't modify anything but the stylesheet in my skin).

Any idea how this is being done? Is this a setting in the default DNN menus that I can turn off?

It appears to be some kind of accessibility feature--once you click on the menu, you can navigate the drop-down menus with the arrow keys on your keyboard and use the Enter key to select a link. However, it would be much better if we could turn this off because we have a lot of people who click the menus, which causes them to stop working.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ok so the application / module itself has the menu, or by DNN-based application you mean the website is DNN and the general menu is acting like that?

It was the DNN menu that was taking focus and not letting it go.

We found a fix, however: Upgrading to the latest version of DNN (4.8.2) took care of the problem. The application as installed by our vendor was actually 4.3.something.
