I'm working on my first custom skin and I have a problem reinstalling it. When I try, I get this nasty error:

Error: Install Skin Package is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Access to the path 'd:\inetpub\wwwroot\DNNConceptInstall2\Portals\_default\Skins\CitySkin\Skin.css' is denied. ---> System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'd:\inetpub\wwwroot\DNNConceptInstall2\Portals\_default\Skins\CitySkin\Skin.css' is denied. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy) at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.SkinController.UploadSkin(String RootPath, String SkinRoot, String SkinName, Stream objInputStream) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.SkinController.UploadSkin(String RootPath, String SkinRoot, String SkinName, Stream objInputStream) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.FileSystem.WebUpload.cmdAdd_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

The only way I can resolve this is to restart IIS - after which the directory is automatically removed. I believe DNN is causing IIS to lock the skin directory, which prevents me from uploading a new version in DNN and prevents me from removing the directory manually. I checked and the files are readonly, but so are all the other files in the DNN directory.

Does anyone have an idea why this keeps hapenning?

Thanks, Greg

Did you give Network Services modify writes to your DNN files?
