I want to replace my main menu items with images. I use the SOLPARTMENU, it works except the text (page name) of the menu item that is displayed next to the image. Is there a way of supressing the text to be displayed.

Thanks

no you can't suppress it.

That's bad news for me, I'm thinking of reducing the text (pagename) to a single character and make the text of that the same colour as the menu bar, that way it's not visible. Is that possible and how can I implement that?

I don't think this is very wise. page names are used all over DNN. You better take an other menu control (house menu or snapsis)

Yep.  Switch menus.  :)

I might even suggest just using a Links or HTML/Text module and hard coding the image links for this.  Similar to the image menu at the top of this page.
