I'm not overly concerned about skin compliance. The market will drive skins & modules towards xhtml / css compliance over time. Rather would prefer to see that the core framework (this means default.aspx) & modules emit correct xhtml. I recall getting a 3.x version of DNN mostly valid by modifying the core files but obviously you lose these changes with every upgrade. In any case thanks for confirming this is on the radar for the team.

I know this thread is old, but the DamnWitty website doesn't even come close to validating a thing.

Throwing the DOC type in there gets you the nice non-quirks mode icon in FF, but it certainly doesn't make it valid XHTML alone. Furthermore, it's not completely tableless either.

As far as compliance is concerned, I would like to see the core move a little quicker on the subject and make it more of a priority than what it is. I have almost lost a number of  municipal, educational, and governmental  site development because of the lack of CSS/HTML/XHTML/508 compliance.

For all of those sites, I had to resort to writing them from scratch. What I really would have liked is to keep all clients on a single portal platform. Unfortunately, this isn't possible in DNN's current state.

It does "feel" like there is interest and some effort to move in that direction.
