Hi

I'm trying to change the look of my website by modifying the skins.  I think I have succefully modified the portal skin, as the website looks the way I want it to look.

The container skin is giving me problem.  I upload the new skin with no problems.  I want to change the skin for the portal only.  I want to keep the default skin when going through the admin area.  When I choose to apply the container skin to portal.  It chanes the module settings for the admin area.  However, when I logout to view the website, the container skin does not take effect.  It still has the default DNN container skin.  If I log into as the host or admin, the modules have the settings that I created with the container skin.

Why wouldn't DNN cooperate?

I am rather confused with the term "Container skin". You are saying that the new skin uploaded with no problem.

You have gone to admin/site settings and added your new skin for portal and kept the default skin for Admin area.

You seem to also have a container made up and when you apply the container you are getting issues that I dont really understand.

May be it is my English.

Hi Salar

Yes, I think I may have caused confusion by putting container and skin together, when they are two different things.  The problem that I was having was this:

I uploaded a container and a skin fine.  At least I did not see any errors when I uploaded them.  I've selected the skin to use for both the portal and the admin, which went fine.  The new skin took effect.

The container has been giving me some problems, and I think I sorted it out, but here was my problem.  I wanted to change the container for the portal to the new one I uploaded.  However, on the admin side, I wanted to keep the default DNN container.  However, when I logout of the admin area and browse the website, I see the DNN default container and not the new container I uploaded.

What I have done since is edit each module settings and set the option to not view or show the container, and that way, when I browsed the website, I did not see the default DNN container.

My new container has nothing...its' supposed to just be something transparent.  Whay I will do now is add some images to my new container and see if it will show my new container in the portal or whether it will show the default DNN container.

I hope this clears up my earlier post.

Thanks for responding.
