hello there,

im currently working on a site that requires that only the root of the sites navigation is displayed on my navigation control (using the DNN nav. provider). I know the solpart menu control can be configured to show only the root of the sites navigation (by specifying the attribute rootonly="true") however there are massive bugs with my css layout when using this provider. Does anyone know if the dnn menu provider can be configured or modified in a similar way?

i would be extremely grateful to anyone who could help me out!

I am having this same problem as well.

My navigation control looks like this in my ascx file.  I tried the RootOnly but doing some research shows it is commented out in the .vb file for the  4.9 version of DNN.  I believe the correct way to adjust this is to use the ExpandDepth="0" but that isn't working for me.  Has anyone else had luck getting this to work?

<

dnn:NAV runat="server" id="NAV1" ExpandDepth="0" IndicateChildren="false" ProviderName="DNNMenuNavigationProvider" CSSControl="main_dnnmenu_bar" CSSNode="main_dnnmenu_item" CSSNodeRoot="main_dnnmenu_rootitem" CSSNodeHoverRoot="main_dnnmenu_roothover" CSSNodeSelectedRoot="main_dnnmenu_rootselected" CSSIcon="main_dnnmenu_icon" CSSContainerSub="main_dnnmenu_submenu" CSSBreak="main_dnnmenu_break" CSSNodeSelectedSub="main_dnnmenu_subselected" CSSNodeHoverSub="main_dnnmenu_subhover" />

 Hi Guys,

I just saw this post and it is relivant to a project that I've been working on.  I've been working on a substitute menu for DNN NAV.  I don't have it completely finished, but I do have a !BETA! that I think can solve your needs.  You can see it live on PowerDNN.com (All the menu strips are built using this control).  If you'd like to use it in your own code, send me an email and I'll get you a copy of the DLL with some examples.

You could try our free DNNPages Skinobject Menu. We just released it recently (www.dnnpages.com). Note: the menu structure is in UL List.
And you must know how to style the menus. Samples are provided in the menu modules.

Hope this help.
