Hello, we have a non standard font type in our logo. To have a unique theme throughout our DNN site we would like to use it as the container heading font. Is this a bad idea? Any comments?

Many thanks in advance!

Oliver

Is it a bad idea?

If it's not a web safe font, then when using it, your visitors won't be able to see it. They will see the substitute font that's available on their system.

It doesn't hurt doing it, visitors just can't see it. I guess ... then there's no point of doing it.

Here's the proposed solution. Check out sFIR, it's a great alternative. Please ask Google what "sFIR" is if you haven't heard of it.

Let me know what you find out. I think that's the best option if you want to use non-web-safe fonts. I can sure recommend different approaches to it.
