Hi, this is my first time at skinning a dotnetnuke site and everything seems to be going smoothly except I've come across a problem.

Basically I have to have 2 navs on my page. One horizontal 'main' nav at the top which has the links for the 5 main pages. And then on the left I have a secondary nav which should have the links to another group of pages which have nested children within. I've created two [LINKS] objects in my html skin but I don't know how to setup my navs so that I get the desired effect.

Say for instance I had pages a,b,c,d,e... and I wanted a,b,c on my main nav, and d & e on my secondary nav. I was thinking that theoretically I could have all these pages on root level and then somehow set the first [LINKS] object to only display a,b,c and set the second [LINKS] object to display only d & e.. but I'm not sure if this is possible?

Does anyone have any idea how I can solve this problem?

Thanks!

abc need to be a normal menu like DNN menu

d & e >> if they dont have sub tabs, then you could use text/html and style them or perhaps the link module. and repeat on all pages. However, if they have child tabs then you need a third party menu module. I have not looked around for a while, but I did last year and there was no such solution for showing a set of parent and child tabs whilst one is on a differnet parent tab.

Hi,

I used the solpartmenu to do this, here is the example. the page is in dutch. Left are the rootmenu items and horizontal the children of the root menu. even those have children but click on those pages and it's dificult to get back. If you're interested I can email the code if you want.

regards Bas
