Is there somewhere one can find a free tutorial or howto for the Housemenu?

Or can someone suggest an other good menu I can use, that has functionality like the SolPart menu ( horizontal, vertical, with dropdown/foldable submenus) but compatible with pure CSS skins and so on? Preferrably free or with a license that makes it possible to use in several installations and skins? If I am going to make free skins and so on? I am getting really tired of the SolPart menu since I am doing most of my skins in pure CSS and the submenus are all over the place.

I've got a couple of free css skins over at my site at http://www.xhtmlskins.com which use the House menu.

Feel free to take a look and hopefully they will help you get a grip on how to style it.

I don't have any drop down menus there, I have made a few sites with them like : http://www.hoteldegeer.nu/ and http://www.vikbolandetsskolor.se/ (which is actually not the House menu module but something very similar I made)

Thanks!

I'll take a look at it. But it seems like the HouseMenu doesn't do the trick since, since I need a pop-up/drop-down/flip-out kind of menu which doesn't move the root items. How have You made the horizontal menus in Vikbolandet and Hotell DeGeer? Are they SolPart or House? Or some other menu? They are more like what I want.  I am going to give SolPart an other try, and see if I can figure out how to get it to work properly... or atleast better...

I would go for the snapsis.com navmenu

I also use it in my skins http://www.snowcovered.com/snowcovered2/Default.aspx?tabid=242&PackageID=11735   ( demo links are on this page )

Its not free and if you want to sell skin with the menu included you would ahvet o get a dev license from the site.

Its purely based on unordered list but if you want you can determine exacly how the html code should be outputted using templates so you can modify to your needs.
