So here's my situation.

I purchased a skin from AllDnnSkins and asked for an image pane that appears to the right as a set image size to the vertical custom navigation.  I was able to upload this skin and edit it in Visual Web Developer to have the images I want on the correct skins (pages).  However, now I've tried to upload the skin and images to a new portal as a host skin as I'm wanting to use the skin on 2 other portals on one install.  It keeps throwing code block errors.

I've checked to make sure the images are saved in the root folder and the image path points to the right place, however I'm still not having any luck.  I haven't had any replies from AllDnnSkins regarding this problem so I'm wondering what the deal is?  I've tried to look up to find solutions and I've tested some without success.

Is it because I'm uploading it as a host skin?  What are some things that I need to check?

Hey TreeStump,

Could you provide the error message that you're getting? Copying and pasting that would help a bit.

Thanks,

Ian

Here's the error message...

An error has occurred.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: The Controls collection cannot be modified because the control contains code blocks (i.e. ). ---> System.Web.HttpException: The Controls collection cannot be modified because the control contains code blocks (i.e. ). at System.Web.UI.ControlCollection.AddAt(Int32 index, Control child) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Skin.Page_Init(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.OnInit(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Control.AddedControl(Control control, Int32 index) at DotNetNuke.Framework.DefaultPage.Page_Init(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.OnInit(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Page.OnInit(EventArgs e) at DotNetNuke.Framework.PageBase.OnInit(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I've tested it with removing the <%= SkinPath %> and the image does not show...

Hey TreeStump,

It looks as though you have the <%= SkinPath %> code block placed inside of an attribute for an element that is marked with runat="server" - I bet this is your underlying cause. What control are you using it in? Perhaps there is an alternative to how you are attempting to do it currently.

Thanks,

Ian

Control?  I'm not using a control and I don't think the skin is either.

If I leave the <%= SkinPath %> in the code for the image, I don't great the code block.  But it doesn't display the image.  I get a broken image.  Ideas?
