I've been asked a few times how to make an empty container, to display an image, a module that has it's own formatting or whatever.  Finally got around to digging out the code I use for it:

<%

@ Control language="vb" CodeBehind="~/admin/Containers/container.vb" AutoEventWireup="false" Explicit="True" Inherits="DotNetNuke.Container" %>
<%
@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="ACTIONS" Src="~/Admin/Containers/SolPartActions.ascx" %>

<

table width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
<tr>

<td id="ContentPane" runat="server" valign="top"></td>
</tr>
<tr>

<td nowrap><dnn:ACTIONS runat="server" id="dnnACTIONS" /></td>
</tr>
</
table>

This provides a container with only the small down arrow for the actions menu while editing, in the lower left corner.  No formatting, no CSS or anything, just a ContentPane for the module to load in.  Hope it helps.

Jeff
