Hi guys, i am trying to fix the layout for "ModuleTitle_SubMenu". What happen is I have a contentpane with css position relative value and afer that, the entire module submenu layout will run out of place. I try to set some position absolute value in .ModuleTitle_SubMenu td but also not working.

Anybody know what's the reason behind it and any solution to this problem? Thanks and Cheers

hi xoozlez,

Sounds like you have an issue with your css. I believe position:relative is dependent on the containing container, have you tried using position:absolute or position:static. It all depends on how you've coded the skin up and the accompanying css. Do you have a page up and running on the web that I could look at?

A great tool for checking css is firebug which is an add on for firefox well worth downloading and it is fab for finding problems like this.

Hi OldBeno, yes you are right position:relative is dependent on the containg container. For certain reason, I have to use position:relative for the site container. I have tried using absolute or static but both doesnt help at all.

Apologise I do not have any live site to show. But I have screenshot it and you can follow this link to take a look - http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_KwokbWVdpbQ/SUdjNNBlEKI/AAAAAAAAAH8/8IE4a4UkFYI/s400/printscreen.jpg

Are there any other workaround to make the submenu dropdown in its place even though positive:relative is used? :)

Hi xoozlez

I had exactly the same problem - a nice css skin with no tables and fine in all browsers but the .ModuleTitle_SubMenu is offset down by 100's of pixels.

I should point out that this is my first css skin and I had been learning about positioning css. I found that I was being too complicated and had applied attributes that I did not need.  I had been careful (as i thought I should be) about adding a relative attribute to divs as required.
I found that removing these solved my submenu offset problem.

Hope this of some help to you.   I am very happy as I have had almost 12 hours on this.

BTW: If you look at the default MinimalExtropy css it is noticeable that positioning css is mostly applied to elements within divs and not the divs themselves.
