I'm pretty lost with skinning on DNN 5, I've gotten REALLY used to skinning on DNN 4.5-4.9 and I've had no trouble. I followed the directions to create a skin in DNN5 as per the other thread about DNN5 but it doesn't really explain things and the skin won't apply. Here's what I nee to know:

What do i need in the skin? I built the html, and put the images into the correct folder, etc but what i can't figure out is how to actually apply the thing. It seems to think that EVERY skin is a legacy skin in the "manage skins" thing. even the minimal extropy skin. Is any of this online somewhere for me to look at? I only seem to get two relavant links in google and they both point here.

There isn't really any change in legacy skins except there is a bug in 5.0 where it's expected case-sensitive attributes, this will be fixed in 5.0.1. As for creating skins that use manifests (i.e. for 5.0 and above installs), the documentation is in the process of being written - Timo has a blog post @ http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryId/2124/Info-on-DNN-5-skinning-and-skins.aspx linking to a thread where he's detailing some of the items.

And there is a bug that shows all skins as legacy skins. I don't think that much changed in applying a skin, I'm not sure I understand what your exact problem is...

Dou you mean that you cannot apply the skin?
