I installed and customized DNN 4.0.2 and everything was working pretty well, except that I could not differentiate the portal skin from the admin or host skin. If I changed 1 the other would change as well. I was trying to get around it by putting the navigation module inside the same <td></td> as the control panel, so that only the administrators would see the default navigation (I created a custom nav for users). Well, when I uploaded the template with this change I got an error, and I don't see a way to get past the error to re-upload the default template. Is there a way around this? Do I have to re-install DNN to fix the issue?

This is the error that shows up in the address bar: http://www.officialtobinbell.com/members/Default.aspx?tabid=59&error=Object+reference+not+set+to+an+instance+of+an+object.&content=0

All that shows up on the screen is the red triangle with "An Error has occurred" printed twice.

Please help :(

PS- I didn't see a help forum, so I have to post this where I can.

Suggest you FTP a copy of the clean, default skin ascx files.

I was doing some reading and found the link below. It says to repair the issue all you need to do is delete or rename the skin folder of the skin causing the problem and dotnetnuke will default back to the default skin. I have already reinstalled my dotnetnuke, but if anyone else is still having the problem please let us know if it fixes the issue.
