I posted a couple of days ago asking for help and now I'm back. My boss wants me to make it so the skin on the home page of our new DNN intranet site changes everytime you refresh the page. I can't find anything that fits that need anywhere. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get this done?
Thank you
Ashley

I don't have any direct experience with something like this ... but ...

I've seen skins or modules that allow you to choose the skin.  If you can find one of these, it should be fairly easy to modify it so that the skin is chosen automatically and at random from a set of skins.

You could also take a look at the skin object that is distributed with DotNetNuke 5.0.  It allows you to choose one of three skins.  You could take that as the start and modify it ...

Ashley,

It is not that hard to add a random image in the skin, or even a module can be used for that. Random image: < div style="background-image: url(<%=SkinPath%>/images/rotator/<%= Int((3 - 1 + 1) * Rnd + 1)%>.jpg);" >< /div>

I don't think you boss want to change the complete look and feel of the site. That would be a very "pointy hair" action.

Thank you for the response. Where would I put that?

Put it on the skin file, where you want to have the image appear.

Can you find the skin file? it's in /DNNroot/Portals/_default/Skins/YourSkinName/MySkin.ascx
