Hi guys,

This time i'm writing cuz my website displays a horrible aligment on IE (i've tried it with Firefox, Safari and Google Chrome also, but works great). If u compare how IE displays the left pane containers and some of the banners with another browser, u'll see that IE displays different sizes depending on the content, but on firefox i.e., it adapts the container to the free space of the container.

This is the URL: http://www.cinemacafe.com.do/Default.aspx

Please note that everything, including banners and all that are configured as center aligment on the container configuration.

Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

Thanx.

Without looking (I don't open random links posted in forums...), my first guess would be you are using padding in the CSS and it gets treated differently in different browsers. You don't mention the IE version, but it may look fine in a new version and wrong in an older one or vide versa.

I've tried on older and actual versions. It sucks on both. How can I solve the padding thing?

switch the skin doctype to xmthl and all your IE padding problems will be gone.

Look at the DNN 4.9.1 / 5.0.0 skin as an example

Just in case you do not know how to do this...

Ad a XML-File to the Skin Directory.
This XML has to be named 'Name of Skin'.doctype.xml
The File contains

<SkinDocType>
    <![CDATA[<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">]]>
</SkinDocType>

That's all.
By the way..of course such a File has to be created for all Skins...basically for all .ascx - Files
