I, too, am new to DNN. I have installed VWD2008 and then installed the starter kit on my pc. I followed a tutorial to make a new skin (very simple-only content pane). When I go to my site and try to change skins, I see the folder, but it tells me there are no skins (I did save the skin and skin.htm in that folder) and I don't have the parse option either. I duplicated and edited another skin-renamed it and wen to try again and it saw the folder and skin, but no parse option. Did I install it (either the software or skin) wrong or is something else going on? If I need to uninstall everything and reinstall VWD and starter kit, that's fine-I'd rather do it now before I create anything, but I'd like to know where some THOROUGH installation instructions are for both setting up VWD and the DNN starter kit. Any suggestions for either problem (parse or reinstall)?

you will have to go to Host > Skins and then you should have the parse option, not at admin > skins

Thanks, I will have to try that. I was using the Admin.
