Is there a way of specifying a width of the first menu element in SolPartMenu or DNNMenu? I need to find a solution to set the first tab to be a certain width aligned with the top graphic and a left pane of a fixed width.

Thanks,

Val

I don't think I would recommend using using Solpartmenu. If you're still using it, read on this post here and here to learn why and how to implement a newer core DNN menu control.
To target the first item in your menu structure, use could use the :first-child pseudo-class CSS.
But since DNNMenu already outputs the list item with .first and .last CSS selectors defined in the menu structure, you would want to use:

ul li.root.first{}

Hope this helps!

At the time I just moved the menu to the right, out of the way, keeping my design look good. I wish I had known about .first CSS selector though... but on the brighter side, now I know, and if need arises - that's what I'm going to use.

Thanks, Cuong, for sharing with us :)
