It is in the current skinning doc, so it is there since 2006 ;-)

I have to admit I never use it...

include it:

HTML skin DNN 3+:
[SIGNIN]

HTML skin DNN 5+ object tags:
<object id="dnnSignin" codetype="dotnetnuke/server" codebase="SIGNIN"></object>

ASCX skin:
<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="SIGNIN" Src="~/Admin/Authentication/Login.ascx" %>

<dnn:SIGNIN runat="server" id="dnnSignin"  />

Hi Timo, am working with DNN 4.9.1and in my index.ascx of my skin, i've implemented in the same way as you mentioned

<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="SIGNIN" Src="~/Admin/Authentication/Login.ascx" %>                                                                                                                     (But you have mentioned Src="~/DesktopModules/Admin/Authentication/Login.ascx",  but we dont have Admin under Desktopmodules folder)

<dnn:SIGNIN runat="server" id="dnnSignin"  />

But as i mentioned in my previous posts, im getting error in "admin/users/password.ascx.vb" file still.

The error is, the values are null, in "admin/users/password.ascx.vb"

I debugged it and the Username & Password, which we give Login are sent to "~/Admin/Authentication/Login.ascx", but when it reaches                                       "admin/users/password.ascx.vb" the values are not found. Am unable to find where its lost and solve the problem.

Thanks

-Nisha

hmm, I 'm getting an error too. It let's me log in using the procedure listed in this post but than I get this error. It's kind of weird because it says it can't load the skin but the skin does actually load.

Could Not Load Skin: /Portals/_default/Skins/nt09/nt_inside.ascx Error: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: format
