I am trying to just do the simple task of changing the background color of one of my panes... So i go to my Portal.css file for the PortalID of the page I am working on. I see there's a .LeftPane class in there. I tried putting color:#FFFFFF; and/or many other ways with no success. Am I doing something wrong or is it that I can't really change the color of the skin for that pane with the css alone?

Unfortunately, that is a much more difficult question to answer than you might think, given the limited amount of details we have been given.  Can you offer more information?

That being said, it should be as easy as using typical CSS selectors to specify the pane you want to change.  Possible CSS snippets might look like:

.ContentPane{background-color:ffffff;}
#dnn_ContentPane{background-color:ffffff;}

Ah thanks. Wasn't adding the "background" in the command. Now i noticed the lovely border has some kind of padding.... But after playing around with border/padding css commands i finally ended up finding it was actually part of the skin files... Fixed it already thou. thanks again Will.
