Right now it is 8:55 pm on Monday, March 30, 2009. My computer says that (in BC) and the server located in British Columbia says that. The home page served by the server says that, too, except if I login. Then it says it is Tuesday, March 31, 2009. I have tried this locally on the server on my laptop and get the same results on my computer. All DNN installations (admin/site settings) say the time location is UTC -8:00 Pacific (US & Canada), which is correct. Changing this does not seem to change the date when logged in.

I have searched this site for answers, but only find messages from 2006 reporting similar problems. Could this be related to daylight savings time? I checked the server time (on both my server and the remote server, both in BC) and it is set correctly.

I am using DNN 4.9.2 in all cases. Any ideas?

Hi, Thomas-
Each user's account has a "Timezone" profile property.  I don't know that this is your problem but it sounds like it could be since you only see the variation when you log in.

Check your account's User Profile settings (Timezone should be near the bottom of the Profile page) and see if it is set to a different time zone.

Cheers!

It appears to be the case for the host account. UTC offset was zero. I guess when you set up an installation, the host account presumes a UTC offset of 0. I'll have to check that in the future.

Thanks for the answer!
