How do I change the Log In Module to display 'Account Number' instead of 'User Name'?  Then also change the help text to say 'Enter your Account Number below' instead of 'Enter your User Name below'.

To change Login module text/prompts you'll need to change the values in the module's resource file.

Look in:  \admin\authentication\App_LocalResources\Login.ascx.resx

There are quite a number of different messages with reference to "USERNAME" that you'll need to change to "Account Number".
 
Also note that changing this file's values will change the module's text for all portals in your DNN instance.

Mamlin Thank You for the reply.

In the file you mentioned there are no mentions of 'User Name'.  I'm using DNN version 04.09.01, does that matter?

There seems to be related values suche as 'Register', 'User Log In', 'Forgot Password?', but the 'User Name' is not there.  Anywhre else I can look at?

The login section needs some cleanup. One would expect it to be in the resx of the login usercontrol but it isn't there. It is in the shared resources. go to host-> languages -> edit language

go to the section "global resources" in the tree on the left and search for the phrases you want to change.
