When I use the [LINKACTIONS] skinobject in my container it will be rendered all links after each other without spaces in between. Beside looking ugly and being not user-friendly, this also causes to break my skin if I am using the container in a very thin pane (because then the linkactions in a row will be to wide for the thin width). The same applies when i am using the [DROPDOWNACTIONS] as the dropdown element is too big too. Now I don't want to use that other DIV dropdown, as it dows not render properly (on mouse over the dropdown will displayed somewhere else on the screen).

So does someone has any tipp:

  • How to fix the [LINKACTIONS]?
  • How to get the module actions for even small panes/containers?

 Hi Jens

Re displaced menu.
When I see this sort of behaviour (menu displaced from origin)  it is always that i have some badly formed html - often its just a div / table error. Try deconstructing your container and putting the offending object outside the container for testing - some times this shows up the html problem.
Note - I have had a skin that caused this behaviour so it may be worth looking at that too. Does yur container have ths issue with a DNN skin.

In some browsers this sort of error will not even show up so its always worth testing in a few browsers.  When skining I work in FF and test in Chrome & IE7 +8

Hope this is in some way helpful and that I understood your question.

Ian

What about adding the Skin Object inside a div and setting the links inside it to :

display:block;
float:left
padding-right:10px;
