Hi Together,

I have a big Problem and hope you can help me.

I have to realize a design with two menus, a first one who always shows the first level of pages and a second one who always shows the next (second) level. If I use the attributes level="root" and level="child", the second menu always shows the links next comming to the actual site. I wan´t that the second menu always shows the second level of the sitemap, and not the next one from the actual page.

I hope you can understand and help me :-)

Kind Regards
Christian Maaß

I think I undrestand your quesiton. If you dont want the second menu to show the child of the page you are in and the second level of the site map. Then I would assume you have a set of fixed links that are you second level of the site map.

If they are fixed then you could use somethink like link module and set ot to show on all pages.

As far as i can tell there´s no way to do that without writing your own Navigation Provider. Was quite frustrated with this since it´s actualy a quite common layout to use (main bar on top, Submenu on the left). Yet, the configeration of the [NAV] token won´t allow you to build just that.  If i´m wrong please correct me, would be more then happy to see a easy solution with the default Nav control :)

Maybe this would be a good feature to include in future releases. What it should do is define a "fix" Level for a Menu, so that it´s only showing items from Level 2 for example no matter which page you are on. The Link control is not really a good alternative imo since you need to include it on every site and prolly manuelly edit links.
