Hey guys,

I'm quite new to the DNN world, and am trying to design a skin. I've come to terms with the fact I won't be able to make a skin from scratch for a while, so I decided to edit an existing one designed by someone in my office.

I got the zipped skin, opened it, changed a few colours in the CSS and the images, and then zipped the file back up in order to upload. When I try to upload the file, it says there is no skin found in the file.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with the way I'm zipping the files on my Mac (select them all, right click, creative archive). It creates a new folder with the same name as the zip file when it unzips, which, from what I understand is the problem.

Just to recap, the existing skin works, I made some very minor changes, and now it doesnt work because of the way it is zipped on my MacBook Pro.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong, or have a suggestion that would avoid this problem?

Thanks in advanced,

Carson

Make sure you zip the files together, not zipping the folder that contains the files. I dont think it's your Mac. Im a mac user and don't have that problem.

That is what I've been trying, as long as you select more than one file when zipping, the unzipping process creates a folder to hold the files. It's frustrating.

I opened the zip files on my PC, and they had a few extra files that might be getting in the way.

DS_store, or something similar is found in every folder. Is that like the thumbnail file that PC's usually make? Either way, it's still not working.
